About the Past Event

There is an increasing demand for medical writers to produce content written in plain language. But what does plain language really mean? From summarizing clinical trial results, to contextualizing new FDA approvals, or producing patient-facing content for hospitals or websites, today's medical writers can broaden their skill set by being aware of the principles of plain language writing and how and when to deploy them.

Join an online panel of professional medical writers for a moderated discussion hosted by the Professional Development Certificates Student Advisory Board. Attendees will learn how to translate the essence of technical content for patients, the public, and those with low health literacy in language they can easily understand, as well as develop an awareness for this critical communication style and how working professionals are using it today.
