Erik MacLaren, PhD, CMPP

Erik MacLaren is a freelance medical writer and consultant who provides medical communications services for commercial clients. Erik has a PhD in pharmacology from the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center and worked for over 15 years in primary biomedical research before transitioning to full-time medical writing in 2014 when he founded Galen Medical Writing, LLC. He works with clients including medical device manufacturers, medical communications agencies, and professional academic associations to provide services including manuscript planning and writing, conference posters and slides, and advisory board preparation and reporting. Erik currently serves as the Chapter Advisory Council Chair on the Board of Directors for the American Medical Writers Association and is a member of the Rocky Mountain Chapter.
