Tom Taylor is a multi-disciplined biostatistician, engineer, and data scientist who has contributed statistical text to over one hundred published articles. He worked in epidemiology, laboratory science, and public health for twenty years at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). He preceded that with over twenty years in the private utility sector, generally before public service commissions. He holds the US and international methods patent for an algorithm to interpret the anthrax serology and other bioassays. He is now acting as a study advisor and review editor for researchers at a pharmaceutical college. He has joined the University of Chicago as a Medical Writing instructor to share the experience and expertise he accumulated over his illustrious career.
