Imran Khan is the Director of R&D Digital and Data Strategy at AbbVie where he is responsible for spearheading the strategy, development, and deployment of the digital health and advanced analytics capabilities for understanding and curing diseases, improving therapeutic decisions and evidence generation for complex diseases, and improving R&D productivity to bring new and innovative therapies to patients sooner. Imran has served in different leadership roles at AbbVie for developing and launching new drugs in the Clinical Development, Medical Affairs, and Commercial organizations. 

Prior to joining biopharma, Imran worked for Advocate Health Care, a large Integrated Delivery Network health system in the state of Illinois, where he led Electronic Health Records implementations, Health Information Exchanges, Patient Portals, several Interoperability projects, clinical quality improvement initiatives such as Clinical Integration, Meaningful Use, PQRS, Accountable Care Organizations, and Patient-Centered Medical Home for the largest community of hospital-affiliated physicians in the United States. In other roles, Imran worked for GE Healthcare and Walgreens, where he developed and supported several clinical and pharmaceutical applications.  Imran earned his BS in Computer Engineering from the University of Illinois, MS in Medical Informatics from Northwestern University, and an MBA from the University of Illinois at Chicago.
