This course is designed to introduce students to threat response planning, management, and crisis communications, using real-world examples to analyze the most effective strategies for effective crisis response. The class will assess and analyze recent crisis responses, and then apply the knowledge learned from those case studies to develop and execute crisis response plans during tabletop exercises. Students will have the opportunity to interact with subject matter expert guest speakers with expertise in effective crisis response and communications, as well as gain tangible communications skills to prepare for engagement in a diverse media landscape.
