Erin Brenner is the Principal and Editorial Director of Right Touch Editing, a boutique editorial agency she has successfully operated since 2005. She is the author of The Chicago Guide for Freelance Editors: How to Take Care of Your Business, Your Clients, and Yourself from Start-Up to Sustainability (University of Chicago Press, 2024) and the 2024 recipient of the prestigious Robinson Prize from ACES: The Society for Editing.
With over two decades of communications experience, Erin brings practical knowledge and proven strategies to her teaching. She regularly shares her expertise at industry conferences for organizations including ACES, the Chartered Institute of Editing and Proofreading, and the Editors' Association of Canada. When she's not helping writers communicate more effectively or teaching fellow editors how to grow their businesses, you'll find Erin hiking with her family or enjoying a good book.
