Jiten Behl, MBA

CCO, Rivian and Venture Capitalist

Jiten Behl has held multiple leadership positions at Rivian, including chief strategy officer and chief growth officer. An early employee of Rivian, he built and scaled multiple functions across the business from a clean sheet, overseeing the growth of the company from ~25 employees to 14K+ over eight years. Behl set up Rivian’s operations in California, building out the software and tech teams across the various vehicle domains. He built and led a ~3000-person commercial organization comprising business, design, product, technology, and operations teams that were responsible for building out the company’s direct-to-customer go-to-market functions to support both the B2C and B2B verticals. This encompassed assembling and scaling the customer experience organization (brand, marketing, sales, service, delivery, remarketing, charging, and energy), e-commerce technology platforms (web, mobile, and app for transaction, financing, insurance, trade-in, merch and fleet management), physical infrastructure (service centers, retail stores, charging network, parts distribution centers) and vendor partnerships. Behl was also the executive lead for all of Rivian’s financing rounds in which the company raised $10Bn+, followed by one of the biggest IPOs in recent times. He managed all corporate development and transactions for the business, including the strategic partnership with Amazon for the delivery van program (the largest order of electric delivery vehicles to date).

Prior to joining Rivian, Behl was a consultant with Roland Berger and a member of the management team for North American operations. He advised the C-suite of Fortune 500 firms and emerging companies on corporate strategy, global business, Go-to-Market, multinational transactions, innovation, digitization, and large-scale transformation.

He earned an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a Bachelor of Engineering from VTU, India.
