As part of our Chicago Booth Executive Coaching program, we offer 1:1 coaching sessions that help you develop strategic thinking, emotional intelligence, self-awareness, and confidence. This personal coaching helps to clarify your leadership identity and long-term impact, It teaches you to navigate complex transitions and career inflection points. It can also enhance individual, team, and organizational performance.
These sessions are ideal for leaders who are looking to make a bigger impact in their organizations and on their teams, and want focused time with professional executive coaches to work toward their unique needs and goals. These packages are an excellent complement to our Executive Coaching for Leaders course or any of our non-degree programs.
You can use extended coaching to:

Elite Team of Executive Coaches
Our Executive Coaching for Leaders coaching packages are led by an experienced team of executive coaches who work extensively with senior leaders and Chicago Booth Executive MBA participants.
How to Start the Coaching Session Process:
- Review the coach profiles.
- Complete the contact form.
- UChicago contacts you with next steps and provides an option for a chemistry call between you and the coach or coaches you think might be a good connection. This ensures you have face-to-face time with your coach before you officially commit.
- Complete your chemistry calls.
- Select a coach and your desired package.
- Once registration is received, you will be contacted by UChicago and provided a link to schedule your first coaching call.
Important Coaching Packages Policies
Coaching packages are available to:
- Emerging leaders and executives.
- Senior leaders and executives.
- Alumni of eligible UChicago programs are eligible to receive a 20% Alum Scholarship.
Payment
Upon package selection and before coaching begins, a full online payment is required for session selection and registration.
Cancellation Policy
- Full refund within 14 days of purchase if no sessions have been scheduled.
- A 10% administrative fee applies for cancellations between days 15–21.
- No refunds are available after 21 days of purchase.
Intake Form & Chemistry Call
Before coaching begins, you will:
- Select a coaching package
- Complete package purchase.
- Complete a short intake form.
- Join a 15-minute chemistry call with your selected coach.
These initial steps are designed to ensure strong alignment with your goals and to create the foundation for an impactful coaching experience. Specifically, they are intended to:
- Clarify your coaching objectives, priorities, and expectations.
- Identify key areas of focus and desired outcomes.
- Confirm alignment between your needs and the coach’s expertise.
- Establish rapport and assess communication style compatibility.
- Determine readiness to proceed and ensure a good mutual fit.
Scheduling Your Sessions
- Sessions must be scheduled at least one week in advance.
- For multi-session packages, do not to exceed one month between sessions.
Timeframes to Complete Your Package
- 1 session → within 3 months
- 4 sessions → within 6 months
- 8 sessions → within 9 months
- 12 sessions → within 12 months
Engagement Confirmation
A coaching engagement is formally confirmed only after:
- Completion of the chemistry call.
- Agreement between participant and coach to proceed.
- Acceptance of these policies.
If either party determines fit is not optimal:
- One additional chemistry call may be scheduled at no additional charge
- A third chemistry call will incur a $100 administrative fee
Coach Selection
Participants select a coach based on:
- Development goals
- Relevant industry or functional expertise
- Scheduling compatibility
This selection process helps ensure that your coaching experience is purposeful, tailored to individual needs, and set up participants for success from the outset.
Participants may select any coach from the approved coaching team. Your coaching engagement begins once both you and your coach agree to move forward.
Coach Reassignment (After engagement begins)
If, after the first session, a participant believes the match is not optimal:
- A reassignment request must be submitted within 7 days of the initial session.
- One complimentary reassignment is permitted per package.
- Additional reassignment requests are subject to administrative review and a $200 reassignment fee.
Coach Availability & Changes
If a coach becomes unavailable due to unforeseen circumstances:
- A comparable coach will be assigned.
- With participant consent, transition notes may be shared to preserve continuity.
- No sessions will be forfeited due to coach unavailability.
Scheduling
- Scheduling instructions are provided following payment and coach confirmation
- Sessions must be scheduled at least one week in advance to your sessions
No more than one month may elapse between sessions for multi-sessions packages 2, 3, 4.
Package Validity
To preserve momentum and continuity:
- Executive Insight (1 session): Must be completed within 3 months of purchase.
- Leadership Pivot (4 sessions): Must be completed within 6 months of the first session.
- Executive Evolution (8 sessions): Must be completed within 9 months of the first session.
- Legacy & Leadership Journey (12 sessions): Must be completed within 12 months of the first session.
Unused sessions beyond the validity period are forfeited unless a written exception is approved.
Rescheduling
- Sessions may be rescheduled with at least 48 business hours’ notice without penalty.
- Rescheduling requests made with less than 48 business hours’ notice will result in the session being counted as completed.
- One late reschedule per package may be reviewed without penalty in exceptional circumstances.
- Repeated late rescheduling may incur a $200 administrative fee.
After Coaching Begins
- Coaching packages are non-refundable once the first session has occurred.
- Sessions are non-transferable unless approved in writing.
- Exceptional circumstances require formal documentation and institutional review.
Coach-Initiated Cancellation
If a coach must cancel a session:
- The session will be rescheduled at no penalty.
- If necessary, an equivalent coach will be assigned.
Late Arrival & No-Show
- Sessions begin and end at the scheduled time.
- Late arrivals will not receive extended session time.
- A no-show without notice will result in the session being counted as completed.
- All coaching conversations are confidential and conducted in accordance with recognized professional coaching ethics and standards.
- No information will be shared with employers, sponsors, or University staff without prior written consent.
- Confidentiality may be limited if disclosure is required by law or if there is reasonable belief of risk of harm to the participant or others.
- Executive coaching is a developmental service and not a substitute for psychotherapy, mental health, or legal or financial advisory services.
Where included in the package:
- Email or voice-note support provides brief strategic guidance between sessions.
- Responses are provided within 2–3 business days.
- Support is not intended for urgent matters or real-time coaching.
- Excessive use may be redirected to scheduled session time.
Chicago Booth reserves the right to:
- Refuse service in cases of inappropriate conduct.
- Terminate an engagement if ethical or professional boundaries are violated.
- Modify policies as necessary to preserve program quality and integrity.
All materials, tools, frameworks, and resources provided for the purpose of the coaching sessions remain the intellectual property of Chicago Booth and may not be reproduced or distributed without written permission.
Chicago Booth is not responsible for delays, cancellations, or modifications due to circumstances beyond reasonable control. Virtual alternatives may be offered where feasible.
The experience offered in any executive coaching package is designed to support your growth, clarity, and leadership evolution.
