Matthew Dapas is a Research Assistant Professor at Northwestern University where he studies the genetics of rheumatological disorders. His research involves leveraging genetic data to better understand the biological differences underlying the phenotypic spectra of individual diseases.
A biopharmaceutical-consultant-turned-academic, he has experience working with a broad range of biomedical data and analytical methods. He received a BS in biomedical engineering and MS in biotechnology from Johns Hopkins University, a PhD in biomedical informatics from Northwestern, and did his postdoctoral training in human genetics at the University of Chicago.
