Let's Get Down to Business
Once you are admitted into one the Graduate Student-at-large Business (GSALB) program, you will work closely with Program Director Esther Pandian-Riske to get enrolled in suitable courses of your choice. Course Selection Process
Maximize your graduate experience by carefully selecting courses that align with your career goals. Here’s how to navigate the process:
- Attend Initial Classes: Ensure you attend the first week of any course you're interested in, even if your registration isn't confirmed. This helps you gauge the course's fit and shows your commitment.
- Monitor Seat Availability: Stay informed by checking the seat availability report regularly. This tool is updated periodically and helps you make strategic decisions about your course selections.
- Understand Prerequisites and Consents: For details on prerequisite waivers and obtaining instructor consent, refer to the Booth FAQ page.
- Resources: For more information about course registration, please refer to our FAQ page.
Course Registration
You can enroll in up to two courses. However, to increase your chances of getting into your preferred courses, you can select up to three courses, each with one alternate section. If you decide to change your selections after submitting a request, simply submit a new one. You can update your choices as often as you like before the registration poll closes. The Booth Registrar’s office will only process your most recent submission, disregarding any earlier ones.
Stay Updated on Registration:
- Submit Requests: Make enrollment requests through my.UChicago, processed in the order received.
- Receive Results: Enrollment results are sent via email by the Associate Booth Registrar.
- View Enrollments: Check successful enrollments on myUChicago the day after receiving your confirmation email.
